11/02/14

Cooperation between the Italian Navy and the Mozambican Navy has just begun, which for the first time collaborates not only to combat maritime piracy and illegal trafficking but also to carry out patrol activities, surveillance at sea and defense of free maritime trade in order to protect the interests of the two states.

The crew of the offshore patrol boat Commander Borsini of the Navy, located in the African country, carries out a practical and theoretical program with the Mozambican Navy which includes training aimed at achieving full maritime autonomy for the control of the coasts and the fight against trafficking and illegal activities.

Safety at sea, seamanship, damage control and survival at sea, anti-pollution and first aid measures are some of the themes developed by both crews starting from the first navigation.
