On 3 July, at the Command of the Patrolling Forces (COMFORPAT), the 288th session of naval command school ended with the delivery of diplomas of suitability for naval command in favor of thirteen naval officers of the Navy.

The route, structured in two phases, initially saw the officers try their hand at mooring and unmooring maneuvers "NA TO & Mediterranean moor" inside the Augusta harbor on board the ships Procida, Tirso, Ponza, Panarea e Salina. In the second phase, on board the patrol boats Bettica, Sirio, Vega e Cassiopeia, the patrons were trained in the execution of maneuvers in the open sea such as towing, lateral refueling, the passage of personnel, materials and mail, as well as kinematic maneuvers in training, mooring maneuver at anchor in deep waters and with simultaneous maneuver of squadron.

During the training process there was also a greeting to the visiting officers by the Maritime Commander in Sicily, Rear Admiral Andrea Cottini, who confronted them and poured out his personal experience gained during his career.

To complete the training, a series of lectures and seminars on legal, regulatory and professional aspects relating to the role of commander were carried out in videoconference mode.

Despite the different professional backgrounds, amphibians, pilots and submariners, the visitors have all achieved excellent results, reflecting their commitment and the valid method of instruction of the Naval Command School, a Navy institution with decades of experience.
