Kosovo: Command to the Command of the MSU Carabinieri Regiment

The ceremony for the change of command of the Multinational Specialized Unit (MSU) regiment took place a few days ago, a unit of the Carabinieri engaged throughout the Kosovar territory, between the transferor col. Francesco Maria Chiaravalloti, and the successor col. Paolo Coletta.

The event took place in the presence of the General Commander of the Army. ca Tullio del Sette, who has formalized the flag delivery passage between the transferor and the incumbent.

The commander of the NATO Forces in Kosovo was also present at the ceremony. d. Guglielmo Miglietta, Ambassador of Italy in Kosovo Andreas Ferrarese, of the local Interior Minister Skender Hyseni, of the UNMIK head Zahir Tanin, as well as representatives of international organizations such as EULEX and OSCE, and of the Kosovo parliament.

The authorities intervened, in their speeches, thanked the Carabinieri of the MSU for the maintenance of peace and security, as well as for the improvement of the living conditions of the local community. Minister Hyseni thanked the carabinieri of MSU and all the staff of KFOR, for the daily work they carry out with dedication and without ethnic and religious prejudices.

On the occasion, an ambulance was also donated for mobile resuscitation units to the Kosovo Police Directorate General. Col. Chiaravalloti handed the keys to the media at the head of the Kosovo Police Shpend Maxuni.

The new commander of MSU, Col. Coletta, assumes the new strong position of a solid foreign experience, who saw him attend 11 international missions including ultimately the mission Althea in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
