Visit by delegation from College of Defense Management (CDM) of India

On 9 February a delegation of 25 senior officers from the College of Defense Management (CDM) has arrived at the Institute of Maritime Military Studies (ISMM). The visit was the last stage of a weekly itinerary that aimed to strengthen bilateral collaboration and cooperation between the respective Armed Forces.

The Indian institute, located near the city of Hyderabad, is a national research center which, in collaboration with some university faculties, has specialized in the sector of Management and Leadership and carries out advanced training; his mission is “the development of enlightened leadership achieved by imparting knowledge, skills and competences for effective decision making in senior defense management, in order to improve the effectiveness of the Indian Armed Forces”.

The meeting between the commander of the Institute, division admiral Andrea Petroni, the director of the study center rear admiral Giuseppe Schivardi, the head of delegation capt (IN) Dhodi Sarvdeep Singh and the Indian defense attaché accredited for Italy, was It was a precious opportunity to get to know the respective training institutes and opened the way for possible future interactions and possible collaborations.

The visit continued with the presentation of the teaching and monitoring activities of the ISMM and ended with a visit to the historic Arsenal of Venice which aroused great interest and amazement for the organization and production capabilities of the Serenissima.
