(To Marina Militare)
25/01/24

A tour of the commands to verify firsthand the progress of the redevelopment work on the Armed Forces' military infrastructure. This is the commitment that team admiral Enrico Credendino, chief of staff of the Navy, has taken on as one of the priorities of his mandate and which has already led him to visit two poles of extreme interest such as Naples and Taranto.

The CSMM wanted to verify the implementation of the infrastructural renewal path of the Armed Forces and collected, directly from the field, every useful element to optimize the use of available resources.

The necessary infrastructural adaptation is aimed at improving both the working conditions and well-being of Marina personnel, and the efficiency of general services and logistical support services.

Among the main and ambitious objectives of this project is to create safer, more functional and comfortable working environments through the modernization of pre-existing structures, the implementation of advanced technologies and the adaptation to current regulations.

During the visits, Admiral Credendino was able to take stock of the status quo and evaluate the specific needs of each site, in order to identify its priorities and verify the real effectiveness of the action plan in place.

Through an approach oriented towards dialogue and listening to the staff affected by the renewal process, the manager acquired a detailed awareness of the specific needs of each structure visited and highlighted how an infrastructural renewal - in all the different components - is aimed at success operative of the Armed Forces. Personnel are the center of the Navy's interests, and it is essential that they can operate in the best possible conditions.

The ongoing infrastructural renewal represents an ambitious work, an investment for the future of the Armed Forces, necessary both to redevelop the overall infrastructure park and to adapt the work environments to the most modern reference standards in terms of liveability and sustainability environmental.

The CSMM concluded these first visits, reiterating how, even through these projects, it is essential to aim for the improvement of the system as a whole to maximize the Navy's contribution to the protection of national interests.
