Ship Vespucci, after a navigation of 10 days, he stopped from 22 to 27 September in the port of Valencia, the last stop of the Education campaign 2016 in favor of the 1st class students of the Naval Academy.

The consul general of Italy in Barcelona, ​​Stefano Nicoletti, representative of the large Italian community present in the city, was present to welcome the sailing ship in the Spanish city.

Among the activities that involved the course Ateires the visit to theOceanográfic, an attractive pole of Spanish tourism, together with the museum of arts and science and the planetarium. This modern complex in which microclimates and habitats coexist, from the tropical to the arctic through the Mediterranean, is the home of hundreds of species of fish and mammals that have allowed students to discover more deeply that sea than in recent months, on board of ship Vespucci, they got to know.

The navigation that preceded the return to Spain, the initial destination of the education campaign, was marked by moments of meeting and sharing of the crew to wish "good wind" to all those who will greet the Vespucci ship. In particular, the commander of the unit wanted to express his gratitude towards the students, "spirit and heart of the ship", and the crew who showed, during the long period of modernization and during the campaign, a very high spirit of service and dedication.

Ship Vespucci now heads for Livorno, where the 1st class students, now aware of what it means to be 'sailors', will return home.
