Italian officer awarded among the best students at the University of the Marines

At the end of nine months of studies at the Marine Corps University of Quantico (United States), the officer of the marine brigade Saint Mark has completed with excellent results theExpeditionary Warfare School (EWS).

As many as 234 attendees, selected from the best Marines of the United States and Alliance partner nations, ventured into doctrinal studies and planning exercises particularly aimed at conducting amphibious operations. Among them also one of our naval brigade officers Saint Mark, Lieutenant Daniele Rigliano.

Among the various didactic and training activities, the attendees carried out a week of training at the Fort Sill Center of Excellence (Oklahoma) to learn the principles and techniques of fire management in support of the maneuver, as well as a week of Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWT) at Camp Pendleton (California).

"The course at the US Marines Expeditionary Warfare School is extremely valuable in terms of content and topics covered", says Rigliano, adding: "It is also extremely important to create a network of lasting interpersonal relationships between the various officers of the allied amphibious units, thus allowing for complete integration at the multinational level."

As a valuable note, Lieutenant Rigliano received the mention of 'Distinguished graduate', a title conferred on students who have distinguished themselves in their training for their excellent academic and professional performance.

Upon his return to Italy, Rigliano was appointed as Tutor of the XI Amphibious Specialization Course, so as to be able to share the knowledge recently acquired in the United States with the resident officers of the Marine Brigade Saint Mark.
