During the meeting the initiatives of the Ministry of Defense and the proposals of the local authorities for the enhancement of the traditional military presence were discussed with the aim of contributing to the economic and socio-cultural revival of the city.
In this context, the minister confirmed the importance of the Arsenal denying any form of disempowerment.
The minister then went to the Arsenal where he reached the undersecretary Domenico Rossi, with delegation to the trade union relations, which had already started the confrontation with the civil representatives.
The minister explained the contents of the institutional meetings and the initiatives of the ministry for the Arsenal. He also announced that Undersecretary Rossi will return to Taranto next September 10 as part of the ongoing dialogue with the representatives.
