"A day a year long": This is the title of the 2017 Navy calendar presented yesterday in Genoa for the 56th Boat Show.

"A choral work - explained the head of the image and promotion office of the Navy cv Luca Anconelli - built on photographs sent by those who really experience the sea: our staff, who were able to capture moments of life aboard ships, submarines and helicopters, returning them in a suggestive and fascinating visual narration. What remains after browsing is the sea and its professionals".

Twelve months that tell the life of the men and women of the Navy: from the dawn of the new day, from which all intentions and tasks are born, photographed from the bridge of a military ship at work in the engine room, where ordinary and daily maintenance is fundamental element for not having subsequent problems; from being "always bold" in living experiences like those of the Navy Brigade San Marco and Comsubin to the commitment of the Armed Forces for environmental protection, translated into the concrete experience of the "Green Fleet". Images that, like those of July and September, underline how fascinating and fascinating the world of the Navy is, with the flight activities from the aircraft carrier and with that of the submarines.

"Leafing through the 2017 calendar - said Anconelli - the emotion is strong, both because I find myself in many of the beautiful photos, but above all because one breathes competence and love for a profession that fills me with pride after so many years".

Emotions for a life spent at sea that find in June the most identifying moment with the feast of the Navy. To close the calendar a suggestive night image of Vespucci with Vesuvius behind it, the volcano that 85 years ago saw the birth in Castellammare di Stabia of what is considered the most beautiful ship in the world. An image that smacks of history and of the future: the one that at dawn will see the women and men of the Navy engaged in a new great adventure.
