Signa Maris Award to the Navy and its Corps of Harbor Master's Offices

On Saturday 12 December, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, the first edition of the "Signa Maris, Italy that the sea tells" award took place.

Among the numerous awards, the one for professionalism and skills in terms of safety at sea was assigned to the Navy. For the occasion, the award was collected by the division admiral Dario Giacomin (opening photo), chief of staff of the command in chief of the naval team.

The motivation was the following: “For the work carried out by the Navy at the service of the country in the delicate and important task of safeguarding and protecting free trade by sea and of being an Italian ambassador in the world through the most diverse and varied foreign missions of its own Ships and its personnel ”.

The Harbor Master's Office was also awarded through Rear Admiral Pietro Verna (photo below) of the General Command of the Corps of the Harbor Offices of Rome. The motivation: "Since through the collaboration with the Harbor Offices, the Signa Maris App also contains updates on safety at sea and, for the emergency at sea, the free blue 1530 number is active on the whole national territory and 24 hours on 24 ".
