Part from Taranto the 53ª Summer Camp of the Palinuro School Ship

In the morning of the 17 June the Palinuro Navy school ship arrives in the port of Taranto and will moor at the Aragonese Castle, where it will remain parked until 20 June.

In Taranto the school ship will embark on a first rate of the young students of the first course of the Military School "F. Morosini "for the beginning of the 53ª education campaign with stops scheduled in Durazzo (Albania), Cattaro-Kotor (Montenegro) and Ancona.

Reached the capital of the Marches will take place the virtual passage of a witness with the second rate of students of the Military School "F. Morosini "of the second course for the campaign that will continue in the ports of Split (Croatia) and Koper (Slovenia) and then finish in Trieste.

The Education Campaign is fundamental for the student's training as it represents the natural completion of the activities carried out during the Academic Year. The main purpose is to make the students acquire the spirit of the Sailor, or a first knowledge, practical and direct, of the various activities associated with the exercise of the profession of "going to sea", establishing in the students an adequate mastery and confidence with the work environment.

During the navigations the young students will train, in fact, in the learning of nautical and seafaring sciences thus developing the team spirit, the ability to manage personnel and will also acquire those ethical values ​​and traditions that are peculiar to the Navy.
