Palinuro training ship visits the port of Taranto

The training ship leaves Taranto again Palinuro, after having made a logistical stop, in the post period 2023 campaign.

Arriving on the evening of 16 October at the Mar Grande Naval Station to carry out logistical work, the following day the Navy sailing ship went to embellish the Aragonese Castle with its tricolor and illuminate the city of Taranto with greater vigor.

During its stay in front of the historic site, the schooner ship opened its gangway to visits from the population who, as usual, showed all the warmth towards the Navy Unit by crowding the access gangway. 

Shortly before leaving for the next stage, the interregional maritime commander South, division admiral Flavio Biaggi, wanted to personally convey his greetings to the entire crew and wish "Faventibus ventis" for the upcoming commitments that will involve him. Civil authorities were also present and local military. 

After the Apulian port, the sailing ship will visit the port of Naples from 26 to 28 October to definitively head towards La Spezia where it will carry out the usual work stop which will allow it to return to operation on the occasion of the 2024 training campaign, the year in which the schooner ship of the Navy will celebrate 90 years since its launch.
