The education campaign represented a new and fundamental educational experience for the students which shaped their character and spirit in the unique context of a historic ship, the only one able to provide a substantial approach to the basics of nautical sciences and seafaring art, fundamental elements that define the essence of every good sailor throughout his career.

During the campaign the Goletta ship with the students on board touched the ports of Bar (Montenegro), Trieste, Ancona, Piraeus (Greece), Palermo and finally Taranto again.
In addition to formal and military training, the unit has carried out numerous image projection activities, representation in Italy and abroad and a dual-use collaboration with scientific institutions such as Marevivo and CoNISMa (National Interuniversity Consortium for the Sciences of the Sea). In all ports The unit has opened visits to the population which, having reached a large number, has always shown curiosity and interest in the historical and cultural value contained in it.
The commitments that have involved the crew and students without stopping, have been faced with character, tenacity and body spirit, providing great satisfaction to everyone for the results obtained in every circumstance as, for example, for the first time in the history of the unit, the Corinth Canal transit.
After the brief stop in Taranto, the ship will carry out a post-Campaign activity that will see it sail towards Trieste on the occasion of the celebrations for the centenary of Admiral Straulino's birth, and then head to La Spezia where, like every winter, the cycle will resume of work necessary for carrying out the activities planned for the 2015.
