The ship's crew Driade greeted the Gulf of Gaeta thus returning to the sea towards the city of Piombino, as part of the last naval campaign of the unit before the decommissioning which will take place on 16 July 2018.
After taking part in the context of the international showcase of blue-economy excellence "Sea Future 2018", on 24 June last, the corvette left its moorings from the naval station of La Spezia. Flanked by the Euro ship and the Aviere ship, the unit conducted numerous kinematic maneuvers covering approximately 500 miles before its entry into the beautiful Gulf of Gaeta.
Here, in the most suggestive city of the Pontine coast, Nave Driade was warmly welcomed by the local citizens. In fact, many visitors were able to greet this glorious unit of the Navy "for the last time", paying homage to the activity conducted for thirty years in the service of the country.
