A representative of the Libeccio ship crew, on 28 July, accompanied by the military chaplain on board, Don Paolo Solidoro, during the stop in the port of Muscat (Oman), visited the religious community of the Capuchin friars of the Santi Apostoli parish and Martyrs Peter and Paul of the Ruwi district.

On this occasion the crew of the Italian frigate contributed by donating foodstuffs to the table of the local charity.

The following day the visit was reciprocated on the Libeccio ship by Father Diego Sarriò Cucarella, director of the Pontifical Institute of the Vatican City for Arab and Islamic Studies, present in Muscat for a pastoral visit of cultural and religious integration.

Cardinal Angelo Scola, founding president of the community, together with the archbishop Monsignor Paul Hidner, vicar of the Custody of Arabia, expressed their deepest satisfaction with the Libeccio ship crew, for the solidarity and goodness of spirit shown towards the local community.
