Today December 22nd ship Cigala Fulgosi of the Navy, engaged in the device Safe Sea, which guarantees maritime surveillance and security in the Mediterranean, has intervened to rescue two dinghies in difficulty loaded with migrants, off the Libyan coast.
A total of 214 migrants were recovered, including 61 women, 2 minors. A corpse was found on board a rubber boat.
Thanks to the helicopters on board, the ships of the Italian Navy have allowed an adequate security framework for all the vehicles involved in the recovery operations of the castaways.
