Navy: The Palinuro school ship returns to Trieste

Today, July 17, the training ship Palinuro of the Italian Navy will land in the port of Trieste where it will remain parked until July 20.

In this port the students of the second course of the Naval School "F. Morosini ”end their naval experience aboard the Navy schooner ship which will continue its navigation towards the port of Polignano, 24 July, to then reach the port of Brindisi on July 25 where the students of the Officers' School of the Navy of Taranto “L. Bezzi ".

The Education Campaign is fundamental for the training of students of the Navy because immersed in a unique work environment they acquire the fundamental principles of maritime art and an adequate mastery and confidence with the work environment by putting into practice what they have studied in books .

Going by sea and training with marine equipment leads to the development of team spirit and personnel management skills, rooting in students those ethical values ​​and traditions that are peculiar to the Navy.

On the occasion of the stop, on Tuesday 18 July at 10: 00, the commander of Nave Palinuro, frigate captain Giuseppe Valentini, will hold a press conference on board during which he will present the ship and the 53 ° 2017 education campaign.

Moreover for all those who want to appreciate closely the peculiarities of the Navy schooner ship and know its history will have the possibility to get on board during the days of the 18 July and 19 July.
