Navy: the degree in "Sciences and Management of Maritime Activities" awarded to 70 marshals of the complementary course

Last Friday 70 warrant officers of the complementary course of the Navy received the degree in Sciences and Management of Maritime Activities. The degree comes at the end of a three-year professional training course with the NCO School of the Navy of Taranto (Mariscuola).

The proclamation of undergraduates took place in the main hall of the School, in the presence of Professor Angelo Vacca, Vice Rector of the University of Bari "Aldo Moro", a university with which the Navy has a solid relationship with various conventions: one in "Nursing", for the university training of non-commissioned officers and the most recent one in "Information technology and digital communication". Three civilian students who graduated with young non-commissioned officers also participated in the training course.

In the opening speech of the ceremony, the commander of the school, division admiral Salvatore Coppola underlined how "Lhe personnel training is a vital aspect for the Navy, which must go hand in hand with that of the development and modernization of vehicles ... ua well-rounded training, capable of making our young men and women, solid military and sailors, highly competent sea professionals and above all loyal custodians of the highest values ​​of our society".

Professor Vacca at the end of the proclamation highlighted how "New graduates represent a resource for the country: an opening to the problems of our land and our citizens ".

Now the newly graduated marshals, with a broader and more advanced set of knowledge, achieved at the end of a training process that lasted thirty months, will return to the service destinations, the ships and the territorial commands of the Navy.
