Italian sport recognizes the activity of competitive sports in the MM

The Italian sport recognizes to the navy its own activity in the competitive field with the Golden Star to the merit sport. A recognition that comes to 60 years from the birth of the sport and sailing section, 40 years after the Silver Star, and in the year in which a man of sport and sea, a legendary figure of Italian sailing, was celebrated Admiral Straulino a hundred years after his birth, a gold medal at the 52 Helsinki Olympics and a silver medal at the 56 Melbourne Games, which testifies to the validity of one of the sports groups that contributes to the results of the Italian movement in the world.
