The school ship Amerigo Vespucci of the Navy arrived yesterday in the port of Quebec City in Canada for the sixth leg of the 2017 Education Campaign.

La 2017 Education Campaign saw the Vespucci make two Portuguese stops, Sines and Funchal, and after a 20-day Atlantic crossing, she arrived first in Hamilton, in the Bermuda Islands, and later in the three Canadian cities of Halifax, Montreal and Quebec City.

Launched from the Military Arsenal of La Spezia on April 19, the "most beautiful ship in the world" has, to date, trained the 79 students of the 24th course Volunteers in Fixed Five-Year Stand, which during the previous stop in Montreal were alternated by over 100 students of the 1st class of the Naval Academy of Livorno. All of them have so far brought and will carry during the continuation of the education campaign the Italian excellence and the prestige of our Armed Forces abroad, through participation in cultural and promotional events, in collaboration with the national diplomatic representations of the countries. hosts.

The Education Campaign aboard ship Vespucci it represents a key element in the training of the Navy personnel and helps to transfer those fundamental values ​​that distinguish men and women of armed force: love for the sea, ethics, loyalty, discipline and honor.

After Quebec City, the Unit will head towards the United States (Boston, New York), continuing to represent the country and its “made in Italy”, in an area of ​​unusual gravitation for the Navy.

During the stop, Ship Amerigo Vespucci it will be moored at the 21 Pier in Quebec City and will be open to public visits on the following days and times:

- Wednesday 5 July: from 14.30 to 18.30
