(To Marina Militare)
12/05/16

The protection of staff health is the main task of women and men in the Health Service of the Navy.

Around 200 doctors and 500 nurses work every day both in the infirmaries on land and on board ships, in Italy and in operating theaters abroad. Pharmacists, dentists, psychologists, biologists, veterinarians and health technicians complete the ranks of the Health Corps and ensure support for Navy operational missions.

All united for a single goal, to protect the most precious asset of all, "health", preventing the onset of diseases and treating them when they occur. The good health of the crews is essential for the operation of the Navy, it must be preserved and guaranteed. Serving in the Navy is not just about looking after the military. The qualities and potential of the professionals who are part of it can also be made available to civilians in the event of natural disasters.

Being a Navy health worker means dealing with new challenges on a daily basis, operating, both on land and on board, in Italy and abroad, in training and operational missions, in support of civilian populations in difficulty.
