The 48th Edition of the Barcolana di Trieste, also known as the Autumn Cup, is an exciting sporting show, an annual international event where you can find old and new friends in a joyful, festive atmosphere, which brings together seafaring tradition and culture.

Trieste transforms itself, flourishes even in late autumn, thus becoming the destination for sailors of all ages, origins and competitive levels who together celebrate the two vital elements for every regatta: the wind and the sea. But this is also one of the most crowded historical sailing regattas in the world; here it is not so important to win as to be present and feel part of a movement, a system united by the sporting spirit where participation, sharing and culture of the sea represent the backbone of the event itself.

Also this year the Navy took part in the prestigious sporting event through various initiatives at sea and on land along the Rive; keystone that has thrilled and amazed enthusiasts and curious, adults and children. Three crews have indeed given their best by participating in two races - Fincantieri Cup e Barcolana 48 - with units coming from the sailing sections of the Ancona and Venice Navies while on the mainland the Institutional stand, the photo exhibition and above all the presentation event of the 2017 calendar of the Italian Navy, were the emotional magnet that attracted hundreds of visitors.
