Great emotion last February 3rd at the Olympic Stadium in Rome on the occasion of the Italy-England rugby match, valid for the first day of the "6 Nations" tournament.
La joint force band, made up for the occasion of 50 elements, 10 from each Armed Force and directed by the master ship captain Antonio Barbagallo, performed the national anthems.
The event, characterized by the presence of a large audience who packed the stands, represented the beginning of the semester of management of the joint force band by the director of the Navy musical band.
Until June 30th, Maestro Barbagallo will direct, organize and manage the activities of the prestigious musical ensemble made up of musicians from the various Armed Forces who, in rotation, will alternate in the performances in which the band will be called to participate.
These activities will be an opportunity for both the director and the organization of the Navy band, where the rehearsals will take place, to compare themselves with other military musical realities. An opportunity for growth on various fronts that will bring prestige to the Navy as a whole and which will enhance even more evidently the peculiarities of our representative body, symbol of the cultural expression of the Armed Force for the benefit of the population.
