A team of divers of the Diving Operations Group (GOS) was recently sent to Malta to train EODs (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Divers of the Armed Forces of Malta, as part of the Italo-Maltese bilateral training program.

The activity was planned and carried out to allow the Maltese Armed Forces to reach the necessary capabilities to carry out military underwater operations in complete autonomy.

Comsubin's men organized various activities that made it possible to touch various aspects of the neutralization operations of explosive devices in the Maritime area, up to a depth of 40 meters.

The training also included diving to a depth of 37 meters on the wreck of the P29, a minesweeper that was scuttled by the government in 2007 to turn it into a tourist attraction.
