The lowering of the level of the waters of Albano occurred in the last ten years, has meant that in the immediate vicinity of the shoreline artifacts were found attributable to explosive materials dating back to the last conflict.
The operations, carried out with the utmost caution by the Comsubin divers in a stretch of the 200 meters along the lake shoreline, made it possible to identify and remove hand grenades of the SRCM type mod. 80, 35 fuses, 48 mortar bomb and 1 bullets for small arms. Once the research was completed, the explosive devices were handed over to the 150, the pioneer regiment of the Italian Army for subsequent destruction.
