The flag, with its bonnet donated by the Italian Sailors Association, was handed over by the Mayor of Trieste, Roberto Cosolini, to the commander of the frigate captain, Marco Bagni, on the crowded Audace pier of this port that 60 had greeted years ago , together with the navy, the historic re-connection to Italy. The new multirole frigate, delivered in December 2013, is part of the international Italian-French FREMM cooperation program.

As a backdrop to the ceremony, next to the Fasan, the aircraft carrier Cavour, from which the series of blanks started to greet the delivery of the flag.
