Completed the Summer Naval Training Camp for the aspirants of the Mizar Course Guardian

Finished the naval training for seventeen midshipmen of the 3rd class of the Corps of the Port Authorities of the Naval Academy who, on board the patrol boats, from 28 August to 8 September, carried out the Manovra Summer Naval Internship (TIR.NE.MA.) for the achievement of the qualification to the basic bridge guard (AGPB).

The activity was carried out at ten peripheral commands (7 Maritime Directions, 2 Compartments and a Maritime District) to allow applicants to familiarize themselves with the various naval vessels supplied to the Corps, both in their conduct and in the use of on-board equipment.

Navigation in restricted waters, man overboard recovery exercises and maneuvers to enter / exit the port, are just some of the practical tests that have been part of this summer internship and to these have been added numerous surveillance and control activities on maritime state property and port.

In Genoa, Ancona, Naples, Bari, Livorno, Ravenna, Reggio Calabria, Olbia, Porto Torres and Lipari the applicants were joined by the fisheries inspectors alongside whom they took part in the activities of controlling the traceability of fish resources, checking the safety requirements for the navigation of vessels and boats and for monitoring the activities of numerous off-shore platforms.

The training of the aspirants will continue in the Naval Academy where, shortly, the educational, sporting and professional activities of the 1 ° Year Application Courses.
