Press Release Co.Ce.R Marina

30/07/15

From what has been learned, to date, at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), among the judges who compose the Court that will hold the 10 and 11 August the precautionary measures requested by Italy to guarantee the Navy Riflemen, has not yet been appointed what will represent the Italian position.

The Co.Ce.R. expects the Government to appoint on the basis of the ITLOS regulation its own expert with specific competences in order to reach a balanced representation between states involved in the dispute, with the aim that Italy's requests be accepted, first of all that India refrain from taking new precautionary measures against our Massimiliano and Salvatore.
