Comsubin: The Underwater Operations Group welcomes three new divers

Spice. It took place today in Le Grazie, at the group command of divers and raiders (COMSUBIN), the ceremony for the conferment of diving patents to the students of the ordinary course 2022. The presence of the Undersecretary of Defence, Hon. Matteo Perego of Cremnago, together with the deputy chief of staff of the Navy, team admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto.

The Comsubin divers represent an international level of excellence, being able to work up to 300 meters with operators inside special equipment and up to 1.500 meters of depth with advanced wire-guided underwater vehicles from the surface (Remotely Operated Vehicle), in any operational and emergency scenario, contributing to the monitoring of strategic infrastructures in the underwater domain.

You can become divers in the Navy by attending a one-year course which can be accessed by officers, marshals, sergeants and graduates in permanent or reaffirmed service up to the age of thirty. Furthermore, young people who want to directly undertake this fascinating career can do so as Volunteers in Initial Stop (VFI) through the competition recently published in the Official Gazette and open until 10 March 2023.
