Marina Co.Ce.R: Our thinking turned to who is from 1000 days in india

05/11/14

The 4 November, day of the Armed Forces, we can only remember the daily work of the many soldiers who made Italy better with their sacrifice. On this day our thoughts go to the colleagues Fucilieri of Marina Massimiliano Latorre and Salvatore Girone, who with their seriousness in dealing with this story have transmitted a high ethical value, an example for every servant of the State.

We take note of the statements made by the New Foreign Minister, Gentiloni, and by the High Representative of the European Union, Mogherini, who placed the release of Massimiliano and Salvatore among their priorities. The Co.Ce.R. Marina believes that these words cannot be just a duty, but that they must be followed by concrete facts which, net of the low profile to be maintained, are also of motivational support to all Italian personnel operating in international missions; otherwise they would only be a mere repetition of words already spoken even by those who were the main ones responsible for their return to India.

The Co.Ce.R. Marina, wanting to keep the country's political and public opinion alive, asks that on November 11, the 1000 days from the start of the story, the Parliamentary Bodies in charge place a debate on the situation on the agenda. of the fusiliers, recalling that in the face of difficult cases such as that of the "Marò", the country's ability to safeguard its sovereignty, functional immunity and the dignity of its servants is demonstrated.
