Admiral Foffi relinquished his post after nearly four years of command, during which the units and crews of the naval team participated in numerous and diversified national and international missions, including the circumnavigation of Africa of the XNUMXth naval group , collaboration in the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region; the operation Mare Nostrum; the operation Safe Sea; the operation Active Endeavor for maritime surveillance and security in the Mediterranean under NATO aegis; the operations Ocean Shield e Atalanta, for the fight against maritime piracy, European operations Triton ed Eunavformed Sophia, as well as numerous national exercises, NATO, EU and the 5 + 5 initiative framework.
Admiral Marzano assumes command of the naval team after having fulfilled the role of commander of the Navy's military command with headquarters in Naples.
