Yesterday at the naval base in Naples the alternation ceremony at the top of the Navy Logistic Command took place.

After more than 18 months, team admiral Donato Marzano has handed over to team admiral Raffaele Caruso.

This important event gives continuity to the historic presence of the Navy in the Neapolitan city, which has always been linked to seafaring, as evidenced by the numerous civil and military authorities and the guests present.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Navy, team admiral Valter Girardelli who underlined how "Campania is a region with a strong maritime propensity, with an important shipbuilding reality like that of Castellammare di Stabia, which is particularly close to our heart and with Naples, the capital and port city of international importance".

As recalled by Admiral Girardelli, the action of the Logistic Command was addressed "to create a real technical-logistics team that could ensure the necessary support to the Naval Squad, perceiving this as a primary function, a function of the operational one given by the Command in Chief of the Naval Squad, ensuring the Command and Control of the logistics chain".
