Deliveries to the Command of the Navy Schools (MARICOMSCUOLE) of Ancona. The 25 July, in the presence of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, team admiral Valter Girardelli, the divisional admiral Alberto Bianchi took over from team admiral Salvatore Ruzittu, who together with the mandate of 2 years and 5 months, ends also his active service, at the conclusion of 43 years of career.
"A path full of satisfactions that allowed me - Ruzittu declared in his farewell speech - to visit a large part of the globe, so much so that I made my motto 'Come to the Marina, you will travel the world'. A long and stimulating journey, which ends in the splendid city of Ancona, to which the Navy is particularly linked both because the Premuda company started from here, and because it represents the gateway for many young people who aspire to enter the great seafaring family as protagonists".
The presence of MARICOMSCUOLE, a center of excellence for the selection of sea professionals, confirms the dialectic that is always alive between the Marche capital and the Armed Forces.
"It could not be otherwise - said Girardelli - since the two-thousand-year history of Ancona is deeply linked to navigation and port activities, to which it has always dedicated its best strengths and capabilities".
The key theme of the ceremony was training, a distinctive trait of a staff ready to take up the challenges posed by the complexity of the current scenario, capable of interfacing with a globalized world and with the new horizons of technological innovation.
"A country that does not devote the necessary attention to education - continued Girardelli - risks getting carried away by events, denying young people the future. In this sense, the activity carried out by the School Command is fundamental, both in terms of synergy with the national university universities and the civil institutes, and with reference to the management of the Francesco Morosini Naval School, of the Petty Officers of Taranto and La Maddalena, of the Naval Academy and Institute of Maritime Studies of Venice".
“Sapere aude”, says the Command's motto, to underline the importance of theoretical and military knowledge. Among its functions, in fact, those of direction and control over all the training institutes of the Navy, together with the supervision of the didactic objectives aimed at preparing young students for the tasks that await them.
Not only Provider of the Armed Forces Act, MARICOMSCUOLE oversees the tendering procedures for the recruitment of military personnel, training courses and the forecast for the formation of the budget, the Continuing Education activities in Medicine (ECM).
"The assignment received - concluded the successor admiral Bianchi - it is prestigious and delicate, a reward that is rewarding for me also because of the years I spent with the staff ".
