Finally the big day has arrived, Friday 31 July 2020, after thirteen weeks of intense activity the 19th has ended Amphibious Qualification Course for non-managerial staff.

The numerous tests have tested the determination and motivation of the 36 newly emasculated who invested their energies in the intense and diversified training that the Caorle Schools Battalion developed for them.

The course, which began on 3 February and was interrupted during the first half of March due to the Covid-19 emergency, was resumed in "Covid-Free mode" in mid-June - a term specially coined to identify that all staff (attenders, Staff instructors and logistic supports) was previously subjected to a buffer and, after receiving the negative result, transferred to the training poles of the marine brigade Saint Mark, guaranteeing total logistical and subsistence autonomy, in an isolated way. The first period was carried out at the training center of Massafra (TA), where peculiar skills were developed in the terrestrial field with the use of topographic material, handling weapons and tactical movement on the ground. Subsequently, the entire rate moved to the island of Pedagne (BR), a scenario that has always lent itself to developing amphibious themes and which has seen all naval fusiliers pass through over the years.

The difficulties and restrictions that have arisen have been managed with maturity and awareness, to allow staff in training to achieve the goals set by the training moment with determination and a spirit of self-denial. Team spirit, perseverance, mutual support are just some of the fundamental qualities of a marine rifleman, who day after day is called to strengthen his body and soul to complete increasingly challenging missions.

The coveted red frieze represents for the newly emasculated the pass for entry into the amphibious component and for the purpose of subsequent employment at the 1st regiment.

With this ceremony the training process officially ended and will lead the young riflemen to take up an important challenge: to demonstrate on the field that they have learned the teachings, with fortitude, resilience and body spirit, capitalizing on personal growth, training and professional experience gained during the intense period lived alongside their colleagues.
