In the evening, in the splendid setting of Piazza di Siena, a solemn ceremony will take place in the presence of the president of the republic, Giorgio Napolitano, of the president of the council of ministers, dr. Matteo Renzi, of the Minister of Defense, sen. Roberta Pinotti, of the chief of staff of the defense, amm. Luigi Binelli Mantelli, and the general commander of the arma of the carabinieri, Leonardo Gallitelli.
The event, after the delivery of the Knight's Cross of the Military Order of Italy to the war flag of the Arma and of the "Rewards" to the carabinieri most distinguished in service activities, will end with the historic equestrian carousel performed by the 4 ° carabinieri regiment on horseback to recall the glorious "Carica di Pastrengo" of the 1848.
The performance will be accompanied by the notes of the band of the Arma and the fanfares of the legion of the Carabinieri students of Rome and of the 4 ° carabinieri regiment on horseback.
