Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz launched a diplomatic counteroffensive calling for sanctions against Iran in response to the attack on Israel during which more than 300 drones and missiles were launched (after the destruction of a wing of the Iranian consulate in Syria which killed 13 people, including two Quds Force commanders). Katz calls for further sanctions to be imposed against Tehran and demands that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is declared a "terrorist organisation".
A "Capitoline" tweet was brought to the attention of the accounts of some foreign secretaries and foreign ministers of the USA, France, Italy and Germany, probably to urge action or draw more attention to the issue.
