The chief of staff of the defense, general Claudio Graziano, welcomed Prince Charles of England yesterday morning, at the Center of excellence for stability police units of the Arma dei Carabinieri (Coespu) in Vicenza.

After honoring the war memorial in the parade ground of the Chinotto barracks, headquarters of Coespu, the prince accompanied by General Graziano and general commander of the Carabinieri Tullio Del Sette witnessed the reconstruction of an anti-terrorism intervention in a den of criminals and met some school-goers.

During the visit, the prince paused with General Graziano talking about the current picture of international security and underlining the excellent relations between the Italian and United Kingdom Armed Forces.

"Our soldiers - highlighted General Graziano - operate side by side in numerous crisis theaters sharing the same commitment and identical risks, confirming a high level of cooperation and sharing of answers to be provided to new security needs".

General Graziano then gave the prince a picture that represents the deployment of Italian and British forces in the 1918 along the Piave line in March "honoring those fallen - said the chief of staff of the defense - we also honor the constant commitment of the Italian and British soldiers who work together to make a common security plan against new threats possible, contributing to international peace and the good of our two peoples"

Charles of England took his leave by signing the book of honor and moving towards the Pasubio aboard an Italian Army aviation helicopter.
