The Chief of Defense Staff, General Enzo Vecciarelli received a visit from Admiral General Teodoro Lopez Calderon, head of the Spanish armed forces.
During the meeting issues of military cooperation were discussed and some reflections on the current international situation were shared.
The cooperation between Spain and Italy in the defense sector has achieved excellent results both bilaterally and multilaterally.
Numerous initiatives see us side by side, both in the various operational theaters and within the international NATO and EU structures. This has made it possible to achieve excellent levels of interoperability between the armed forces of the two countries, which are linked by deep friendship and common values and share the same challenges they face in the complex international scenario.
