Parachuting, 2nd round of the World Cup Series 2023: Sergeant Mangia triumphs

Army sergeant Fabrizio Mangia, active in the sports activities department of the CAPAR of Pisa, won the second stage of the World Cup Series of parachuting which took place in Slovenia at the Lesce Airport, from 23 to 25 June.​

The non-commissioned officer of the "Folgore", out of six competition jumps in the precision landing specialty, totaled only two centimeters of error, placing himself on the top step of the podium.​​

The competition, which was attended by 45 teams for a total of 220 athletes, was characterized by adverse weather conditions that put the athletes' abilities to the test, making the result achieved by Sergeant Mangia even more significant.​

The next appointment for parachuting athletes will be the 3rd round of the World Cup Series which will take place in Klatovy in the Czech Republic from 21 to 23 July.​
