The partnership between the Army and the Italian Rugby Federation is consolidated with the opening and third half of Italy-Scotland, in the name of sharing values and ideals.
The Army was the protagonist of the highly anticipated match between the women's national teams of Italy and Scotland of the "Guinness Six Nations" tournament, which took place in Parma at the Lanfranchi stadium.
Our tricolor, the insignia of Italian Rugby Federation, of Scotland and the oval ball were brought onto the playing field by a representation of students and officers from the Army Military Academy, followed by a moment dedicated to the national anthems performed by the musical band of the "Folgore" parachute brigade.
The kick-off was preceded in the morning by an official match of the "Trofeo del Ducato", the official stage of the national Rugby Touch championship, in which the team of the sports group of the Military Academy participated - made up of students and officers who they had the opportunity to compete with other rugby sports realities in northern Italy. The event was coordinated by the Zebre Parma company (franchise of the FIR), a leading sporting reality at national and international level, with the aim of actively promoting the culture of sport throughout the national territory and emphasizing the values that the world of rugby and the Army share, synonymous with commitment, discipline and respect.
The presence of officers and students of the Military Academy at the Italy - Scotland match is a further sign of the very strong synergy, even at a local level, created with the world of sport, aimed at consolidating the extraordinary partnership created between the Army and the FIR, enriched and embellished by numerous collaborations useful to highlight how sharing the same values, especially in the field of training, for both realities represents a fundamental tool for athletes and future commanders, useful for consolidating strong relationships within a team and functional to the achievement of ambitious objectives.
