Marta Bassino world champion in the Super-G!

At the Alpine Skiing World Championships, on the French snow of Meribel, took place today Women's Super-G in which the graduate chosen Marta Bassino, athlete of Army Sports Center – Winter sports section, won the gold medal.

An extraordinary victory for Marta Bassino who at the end of the race declared: "It's beautiful. My first Super-G win at the World Cup, it's incredible. I'm happy, it's the culmination of work, constancy, teamwork".

He added: "It is the culmination of the work and constancy that is needed to reach these levels. Behind this result there are many people who in a more or less evident way contribute and have contributed to my journey. The dedication and thanks go to them while the tricolor waving and Mameli's anthem on the top step of this podium I dedicate it to the Italian Army and to my Army Sports Center which has supported me for so many years. Now I will have to rest and then training to prepare parallel and giant".

Marta Bassino won gold in superg concluding the race in 1'28”06 which allowed her to enrich the medal collection of Army Sports Center.

Being a soldier involves sharing the values ​​of sport, such as discipline, honesty, courage, commitment which are the same that characterize the Army and therefore the common heritage of every soldier.
