For the second consecutive year the Army won the prestigious joint title of best team in the Olympic discipline Complete Competition.
The Army Sports Center defended its record by fielding a roster of very high profile athletes, all candidates for participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The joint championship took place as part of an international event which attracted 236 pairs from all over the world, confirming the Military Equestrian Center as a point of reference in the Olympic discipline of Complete Competition.
The president of the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation Marco Di Paola, at the end of the awards ceremony, complimented the organizing committee and the Military Riding Centre: “The national team of the discipline comes from a very positive season, in which Italy achieved the Olympic team qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. During these competition days at the Montelibretti Military Equitation Center we followed some of the Italian pairs who could represent the tricolor at Versailles next year. I would like to congratulate the athletes, all the technical and federal staff at the Montelibretti Military Riding Center for the impeccable organization."
The Military Riding Centre, thanks to the organizing committee established by the local section ofNational Cavalry Weapon Association, has managed to host numerous international events.
The event just concluded represents the last appointment at the Montelibretti military facilities in the 2023 FEI calendar, next commitments in March 2024 with two weeks of international competitions Full and the first stage of the prestigious "Nations Cup" circuit.
