Palinuro School Ship arrives in Athens

School ship Palinuro has arrived today in the port of Athens, in Greece where it will remain until August 15, coming from Malta.

The unit is currently involved in the 53 ^ Education Campaign for the students of the Course Normal Marshals of Officers' School of Taranto. During the particular navigation in the Greek waters, the students were able to apply the rudiments of nautical sciences learned during the academic year and also compared with the practice of the seafaring arts necessary to lead a ship Palinuro.

The students, as in previous stops, will bring Italian excellence and the prestige of our Armed Forces abroad through participation in cultural and promotional events, in collaboration with the national diplomatic representations of the host countries.

Today, at the time of the stop, at 15: 00, the ship's commander Palinuro, frigate captain Giuseppe Valentini, will hold a press conference on board during which he will present the unit and the 53 ^ Education Campaign 2017.

Ship Palinuro will be open for all those who want to visit it at the following times:

- 12 August, from 16:00 to 19:00;

- 13 and 14 August, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00
