Ducati motorcycle rally at the submarine base in Taranto

On Saturday, at the command of the submersible flotilla in the Mar Piccolo naval base in Taranto, 100 centaurs gathered with their splendid motorcycles, all with Ducati labels and members of the "Desmorangers DOC Basilicata" association of owners and enthusiasts of the prestigious Italian factory, recognized by the same parent company.

To offer an unprecedented setting for the event, the modern submarines, Scirè and Pelosi, and the submarine school, flagship of the underwater component of the marina.

The initiative, designed and organized in collaboration with the Italian navy, involved not only the aforementioned club from Lucania, but also many other Ducati clubs from the entire South of Italy, all very attracted to a day of passion for the reds of Borgo Panigale in a truly unique setting like that offered by the technological jewels of the navy, Cavour ship moored in the Mar Grande naval base and the modern submarines moored in the Mar Piccolo naval base.

The festive day allowed the members to visit the modern diving school simulators and to admire the Scirè submarine, moored in port at the Sauro quay. To be the "cicerone" aboard the Scirè, an exceptional centaur, the sub-officer submariner Chief Mastrobuono, responsible for Sonar on board who wanted to present himself his diving unit to his biker friends.

The intense day ended in the historical hall of the submarines with the usual photos and the usual exchange of symbolic plaques between the participating clubs and the representatives of the navy of Taranto, who wanted to combine the ties between two excellences all Italian : Ducati and Italian Navy.
