Marina Militare: signed a collaboration agreement with AGESCI

This morning at the Salone dei Marmi of Palazzo Marina in Rome, the Italian Navy and the Association of Catholic Guides and Scouts of Italy (AGESCI) have signed a collaboration protocol that aims to develop and share projects and direct educational and educational initiatives to the younger generations.

The document was signed by the team admiral Giuseppe De Giorgi, Chief of Staff of the Navy and by Matteo Spanò and Angela Maria Laforgia chairmen of the national Agesci committee.

The Navy has always paid particular attention to the world of young people, taking care of various activities such as water sports (swimming, sailing, canoeing, etc.), through exits in the sea on board of boats belonging to the Navy Military Sailing Sport. the training centers of the Armed Forces (Naval Academy of Livorno, Non-commissioned Schools of La Maddalena and Taranto, Sailing Centers in different regions), internships and courses.

These experiences allow each participant to socialize, learn, share values ​​such as respect for the rules, team spirit, courage, loyalty to others, respect for the environment and nature, essential and essential qualities in sport and in school as in life.

The Navy and AGESCI share these values.

This collaboration therefore aims to promote the marine environment as an educational environment based on ethical principles, solidarity and passion for the sea.
