The Mini Transat 2015 regatta for the navy director Andrea Pendibene is finished after the dismasting occurred last September 21 off Finisterre. Pegaso 883 is now under the scrutiny of an expert for the technical tests necessary to guarantee an accurate control in terms of safety, checks incompatible with the 72 stop hours granted by the regulation.

The skipper of the Navy has accomplished the exceptional feat by conducting the makeshift boat in the port of La Coruna, because due to the strong wind and the rough sea, the tree broke, forcing Pegaso to sail without the mainsail and bow.

In order not to be disqualified, Andrea Pendibene prepared an emergency sail and after reassuring the “Race Direction” of his desire to reach the nearest port independently, he led Pegaso 883 until he reached La Coruna.
