The Navy at the Maker Faire

It was held from 14 to 16 October, at the Fiera di Roma, the Italian edition of Maker Faire Rome 2016, the great event on innovation, in which the Navy participated with a promotional exhibition stand.

On the occasion of the most important event in the world on innovation, now in its fourth edition, more than 700 projects were presented, selected from over 1500, from 40 countries. A family-friendly event full of inventions and creativity that celebrates the culture of "do it yourself" in the technological field at the base of the "makers movement". It is the place where makers and enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds meet to present their projects and share their knowledge and discoveries.

Not just exhibitions; during the three days it was also possible to participate in conferences, seminars and training workshops on crucial and topical issues such as home automation, drones and robotics, 3D printing, industry 4.0, internet of things, credit, technology applied to means of transport, cooking and music .

The public was able to discover, invent, create and perceive what the future that awaits us will be. Innovation becomes available to everyone through experiential paths where visitors, including children, are an integral part of the event itself.

Present as a partner, the Marina Militare stand presented the 2017 Institutional Calendar, the Mobile Information Center and dashboard simulator of ship Bergamini.
