The men of the navy divers group (GOS) were among the first to come to the aid of the people of Genoa, to remove water and mud, which put the city of the lantern back on its knees.
Among the last activities carried out by the GOS operators (trained to conduct any type of diving) the underwater operations inside the Costa Concordia wreck, the intervention on the occasion of the incident at the control tower of the port of Genoa and on the relt of the boat of migrants sunk a year ago in front of the island of the Rabbits in Lampedusa.
The navy has also made available the ships Caio Duilio and Grecale, ready to be dislocated in Genoa if the civil protection deems it necessary.
