After participating in the NATO Joint Warrior 15-2 and At Sea Demonstration 15 ship exercises Doria returns to Taranto

The greeting of the commander-in-chief of the naval team to the crew of the destroyer Andrea Doria - over 200 men and women, with the specialized teams of the San Marco marine brigade and the Navy flight groups - concludes the ship's deployment in the North Atlantic, to participate in the exercises Joint Warrior e At Sea Demonstration.

La Joint Warrior, organized by the United Kingdom, is used to train a naval force, made up of ships of various nations, to operate in a complex scenario, where there are different forms of threat, aircraft, missiles, submarines and ships. Twelve participating NATO countries, 28 ships, 4 submarines, 3 aircraft, helicopters, observers, as well as numerous cooperating air and naval vehicles, military and non-military.

During the next phase, with the exercise At Sea Demonstration, therefore, the navies of the Maritime Theater Missile Defense Forum (MTMD Forum) were able to verify the level of integration and maturity achieved in defense against ballistic and anti-ship missiles.
