The training range of Torre Veneri (LE) was the scene of a hot exercise carried out by the departments of the San Marco marine brigade. The preparation and training process of the navy rifleman in fact provides for the assiduous conduct of tests and exercises that make these departments one of the excellence of the armed force.
The commander of the San Marco marine brigade, Rear Admiral Rosario Walter Guerrisi, in fact underlined that "training is fundamental because it combines the different components of land, sea and air" obtaining cohesion and synergy.
The entire activity was carried out "in full safety provided for operators with movement of teams that protect the other teams by supporting them in the heat through the use of real shots", as explained during the first phase of the exercise. commander of the 1st San Marco regiment, vessel captain Massimiliano Grazioso.
To complete the training there was also the recovery of a wounded person and, as stated by the commander of Maristaer Grottaglie, captain of the vessel Placido Torresi: "It is in these cases that the aerial means becomes the only indispensable means to save life of our military in real theaters ”.
To assist the exercise the chief of staff, team admiral Giuseppe De Giorgi who greeted the troops with a BZ (good Zulu), which in military jargon means well done. Dynamism, precision, team spirit, training are the qualities that make the riflemen of the San Marco Marine Brigade true professionals "by sea and by terram".
